O’s Notes: Linda developed a passion for music as a child listening to vinyl. Among her favorites were Dinah Shore, Rosemary Clooney and Peggy Lee. She picked up a wealth of good habits from these legends and celebrates their music on Midnight Caravan. Ted Firth plays piano and directs a quintet supporting Linda on fifteen vocal classics. Special guest Tom Wopat adds warm complementary vocals notably on “Oh Me/Oh My”. Purl has a wonderful voice filled with precise emotional inflections in all the right spots.
