O’s Notes: Southern California is a pleasant place to live and home to many performers including pianist Roger Tilton. One of Roger’s favorite genres is Brazilian music which is also relaxing and the focus of his latest release. So Mostly Bossa is just that, nine classic, traditional Brazilian tunes that are freshened with a new bossa nova bounce. The entire session is vibrant yet relaxing, centered around Tilton’s piano. Bassist Henry Franklin and drummer Yayo Morales complete the trio. “Tokyo Blue”, “500 Miles High”, “Dindi”, “Blue Bossa”, and “Dreamer” put smiles on our face!
