O’s Notes: Pianist Alex Levin leads a trio with bassist Michael Bates and Brian Floody on drums. The music is relaxing and well developed, mostly covers with a couple of originals. Kevin is a seasoned pianist having spent several years in Berlin leading a quartet. We enjoyed “Cheek to Cheek” and “I Remember You” both swingers, the soothing “Body and Soul” and the cool “Blues for Charley”.
