O’s Notes: Marty (sax, cl) assembles a sextet that includes Howard Johnson (tuba, bs), Allison Miller (d) and Greg Cohen (b). Ehrlich wrote all of the music and it is a fresh taste of jazz-fusion that sometimes drifts into free jazz. Highlights are “Light In The Morning”, “Seeker’s Delight” with nice work on bass from Greg, and the swinging “Erica”. There is also a lot of soul and fire in “Keeper of the Flame” which concludes a good set.
