O’s Notes: Shankar wrote these two ragas in 1968. “Raga Gangeshwari” is a live performance that features Ravi playing sitar with Usted Alla Rrakha playing tabla and Kamala Chakravarty playing tanpura. The next track is a series of responses from Concertgoers following a 1967 appearance. While most were intrigued and eventually thrilled, there were a few who couldn’t engage. For sure this music is best experienced live but once you are in, you’re in!
