O’s Notes: Scott Healy is a master of keyboards who has had a wonderful career including playing in the house band of the Conan O’Brien show. Before that in 1991 he recorded a session with guitarist Scott Alexander, bassist Kermit Driscoll and drummer Jeff Hirshfield. Healy recently revisited those master tapes and hence Northern Light was born, a fusion effort that features a strong collaboration between Alexander and Healy early in their careers. There are sparks of brilliance here in a program that has some relevance over twenty years later!
