O’s Notes: Venerable trumpeter, composer Tom Harrell has been making great jazz across five decades! He leads a fine band for Oak Tree including Ugonna Okegwo (b), Luis Perdomo (p) and Adam Cruz (d). The program is eleven jazzy originals that have a touch of Latin spice. Each of the musicians contributes to the mix with strong solos throughout the session. Of note are the warm tones on “Tribute”, “Shadows” and “Live Tide”.
