O’s Notes: Mac Chrupcala is a New England based jazz pianist with lots of energy, spirit a willingness to change things up. He enlisted support from bassist Jim Cammack and drummer Bernard Purdue. Both have impressive dossiers and add a strong dose of funky rhythms to Mac’s more deliberate groove. Solos are well dispersed and polished. Highlights are “Bluesette”, “Summertime” and “Meditation” in a soothing set.
