O’s Notes: Clare Fischer is a well-respected pianist, composer and arranger. He again teams up with his son, producer Brent Fischer (b, perc) on Out of the Blue, a relaxing set of mostly original music. Clare performs solo and in a trio. He enlists Denise Donatelli and John Proulx to add vocalization on the title track while Peter Erskine and Mike Shapiro split drumming duties over the rest of the album. It is a good contemporary jazz session that shines on the lower tempo ballads like “Amor Em Paz”, “Two For The Road” and “49”.
