O’s Notes: Outrageously Wild is the combination of two classic Tania Maria albums on a remastered 2-CD set. The first is 1984’s live recording in San Francisco, The Real Tania Maria (5). The audience was fully engaged and appreciative of her upbeat and energetic performance as you will be. John Purcell (sax) and John Peña (b) lead an excellent set of musicians. The second CD is 1993’s studio recording, Outrageous(4-). In both cases, Tania delivers her warm messages combining the lyrics with vocalese. Her tone and delivery are excellent, serving as inspiration and melodic instrumentation simultaneously.
