O’s Notes: Rallidae is defined as a small community of birds but in this case they are yet another jazz creation emanating from Brooklyn. Canadian saxophonist, singer and composer Angela Morris is the leader with vocalist Alex Samaras and Scott Colberg (b, vocals) joining her. Paper Birds it their debut, a mix of acapella, spoken word and sound. They dance on the edge blending vocal tones with instrumentation and poetry.
