O’s Notes: Guitarist Marcos Amorim leads a trio with Jorge Albuquerque (b) and Rafael Barata (d). They play a relaxing mild bossa nova. The performance is all instrumental and this is okay as Amorim is a fine guitarist well linked with his band. We enjoyed the racy “Maracat” and funky “Bantu”. They wrap up the set with “Music Box”, a fitting end to a new Rio sound.
