O’s Notes: This is a live set featuring guitarist Burrell leading a quartet with Richard Wyands (p), Lisle Atkinson (b) and the late Lennie McBrowne (d). This is a 1976 performance in Buffalo, NY. Kenny is cooking from end to end. Highlights are “Do What You Gotta Do”, “A Child Is Born” and “Will You Still Be Mine” featuring Jones with a strong drum solo. There is also a bonus track “Single Petal Of A Rose” recorded 30 years later with better sound quality. Burrell still has his chops! This CD is a treasure for guitar fans.
