O’s Notes: Pianist Mitchel Forman assembles a daunting trio with bassist Kevin Axt and Steve Hass on drums. There is a cohesive harmony between the musicians that developed with live performances before culminating with the studio recording of Puzzle in 2014. The word Forman uses to describe his production is exuberance! Half of the selections are covers and Mitchel Forman composed the rest. Collectively the pieces of the Puzzle are a good fit.
