O’s Notes: Claire Daly is a baritone saxophonist, flutist, singer, educator and producer. She leads a quartet with Eli Yamin (p), Dave Hofstra (b) and Peter Grant (d) for Rah! Rah! her latest release, a tribute to the late Rahsaan Roland Kirk. She was inspired by Kirk and shares his unleashed “go for it” approach. Daly displays a mastery while imparting her own signature on the sax and flute. Among the best are “Theme For The Eulipions”, “Blue Lady” and “Simone”.
