O’s Notes: Guitarist Bill Frisell’s best ECM recordings over 15 years are included in this compilation. Frisell came onto the scene in 1981 beginning what would be a long association with drummer Paul Motian. They play jazz-fusion ranging from rock-based to playful Latin-flavored tunes. The music is generally open and free flowing, with a worldly beat. This is a great sampling of Bill’s work.
