O’s Notes: Gilman’s theory of Relativity focuses on musical expression of his impressions of imaginative artwork. M.C. Escher does the cover piece and it truly invites consideration from many perspectives. The music swings in a similar fashion, anchored by a solid rhythm section of producer Joe Gilman (p), Zach Brown (b) and Corey Fonville (d). Nick Frenay (t) and Chad Lefkowitz-Brown (sax) lead most of the melodies with rich harmony. The net result is a warm set that is rich with harmony.
