O’s Notes: Martin Maheux (d, perc) is the genius behind MMCircle. He composed and arranged all of the music for Requiem Pour Un Vivant. The ensemble is Frédéric Alarie (b), Guy Dubuc (p), Jean-Franois Gagnon (t) and Rachel Duperrault (v). This is their third release and it is their best yet. We enjoyed the splendor of the strings with improvisation on top of classical structure.
