O’s Notes: Shadows of Light is the debut release from singer/saxophonist Laurel Moore and guitarist Steve Parisien. They perform in a minimalist setting that allows full appreciation of all instruments and Moore’s voice and sax. The sound is contemporary, jazzy pop. A rather interesting fact is that these two artists have never physically met! Laurel lives in Qatar and Steve is from Canada. Their union is fostered by technology but aside from the dubbing, their seamless interaction leads you to believe they had a history of playing together live and recording. It is unique and fertile ground to build on.
