O’s Notes: Loli is Loli Marquez-Sterling, an energetic Cabaret style vocalist. She performs with a large ensemble complete with brass, Latin percussion and back up vocalists. Loli is a veteran on Broadway having started in several shows. Her latest effort is a return to the Cabaret world. Shaken but not Stirred is her show at The Metropolitan Room in New York. It has been favorably reviewed and the CD is also entertaining with a pleasing upbeat approach. Among the best are “Put ‘Em In A Box,…”, “Do You Like It” and “In These Shies?”
