O’s Notes: The band is rich in strings and they make good use of them along in front of a strong rhythm section consisting of Frédéric Grenier (b), ric St-Jean (p) and Martin Maheux (d). The addition of Ivanoe Jolicoeur on trumpet and flugelhorn is well placed especially on the finale “Résignation”. We also liked the interplay on “Mauvais Cirque”. There are only six tunes overall but lots of care is exerted and the solos are polished. Collectively it is a well-balanced set that is easy to listen to.
