O’s Notes: Pianist Salvatore Bonafede performs a dozen introspective compositions, all truly reflective and passionate. Marcello Pelliteri (d) and Marco Panascia (b) help amplify his thoughts without getting in the way. We enjoyed the many moods expressed here especially the blues of “bbbb” and the upbeat groove on “Blackbird”. There are also playful tunes like “Italin Ingegno” that help make this an enjoyable session.
