O’s Notes: Dee has a mellow voice that flows across the rhythms by producer/arranger Marcos Silva (p). Scott Thompson (b) and Phil Thompson (d) round out the rhythm section. Andy Narell adds Caribbean flair playing steel pans on two selections notably “I’ve Got The World on a String”. Barry Finnerty (g) ushers in the blues on a couple of sets to complement Dee and make this an entertaining session. Bell was discovered by Stan Getz back in 1983 but disappeared for over a decade. Silva Bell Elation pairs her with the Brazilian pianist Silva in a rebirth of sorts that could be the start of something good!
