O’s Notes: When the introduction to a song is a solo, we generally anxiously await the rest of the band joining in. This is unless we become fully engaged in the solo! Such is the case when Martin is playing solo guitar. It is fully satisfying. He plays 13 of his favorite Art Tatum songs. Taylor displays a solid command of his instrument without showing off. He’s confidant, relaxed and the sound is enjoyable.
