O’s Notes: Bassist García-Herreros leads a quartet with Antonio Sanchez (d), Luis Leite (g), Hector Martignon (p) and Klaus Dickbauer (reeds). These guys swing hard on the opener “Pequeña Samba” and then show their mellow side on “Balada Para Mis Hijas” featuring Dickbauer and García-Herreros with a lengthy melodic solo. We liked the funky beats of “Blues For Kampus” and enjoyed listening to Snow Owl displaying a true mastery of the contrabass guitar! Once you listen, you’ll want to listen again.
