O’s Notes: This trio is bassist Scott Hardy, Satoshi Takeishi (percussion) and leader Pintchik on piano. The music, eleven tracks, really flow nicely, especially “Happy Dog”. Leslie wrote seven of the tunes (from #4 through #10). These are the ones that excited us! The landscape is simply beautiful. Satoshi’s use of percussion is not overdone and comes across very nicely – check “Mortal”. It is a nicely balanced set.
