O’s Notes: Lisa takes us on a journey through the American songbooks selecting eighteen songs written by composers that she has had associations with including her father Leon Kirchner. While she touches many genres, the prevailing mood is one of popular music. Lisa composed lyrics for several songs transforming the pieces while retaining the spirit of the originals. Among the best are “Crazy Love, Crazy Heart” and “Prince of the City”.
