O’s Notes: There are a dozen relaxing ballads here including three originals. Russ plays beautiful solo piano as well as in a trio with Martin Wind (b) and Tim Horner (d). The songs aren’t all slow. Some of the tunes, like the bubbly “It Only Happens When I Dance With You” and “Look For the Silver Lining” really swing! It is a good set, especially for piano lovers.
