O’s Notes: Peter Scherr plays bass and composed most of the music for Son of August in 2008. It is a rock-fusion CD with both racy and quiet moments leaning mire towards the latter. Peter’s brother Tony Scherr plays slide guitar. Brad Shepik plays bass with Michael Blake on sax and Mike Sarin keeping time. We preferred the mellow tones of “Assonance”.
