O’s Notes: Elisabeth has a pleasing vocal tone and she puts it to work on the joy and pain that we all experience in the game of love. She gets support from a strong core trio with Bruce Barth (p), Evan Gregor (b) and Jordan Perlson (d). Ingrid Jensen (trumpet/flugelhorn) and Donny McCaslin (sax) add excellent work for two selections each. Lohninger sings in Portuguese on a couple of selections adding a real Latin flavor. Highlights are “Here There and Everywhere”, “Alone Together” with calypso beats and “I Fall In Love Too Easily” with a fine solo by Barth. This one gets better each time through!
