O’s Notes: The most recognized name on the billing is renowned pianist Benjamin Taubkin. But he shares billing with two masterful percussionists Simine Sou and Guilherme Kastrup. Pressing play will provide ample evidence of equal billing as this is a balanced collaboration in all aspects. The music is all original and each musician plays a part as they do in the spotlight for solos. The sound dynamics are wonderful especially on “Gota D’ çgua” amplifying the impact where appropriate. This is an appreciably different approach that comes off well.
