O’s Notes: Al burst onto the scene in the 1970s as the Return to Forever guitarist before busting out on his on. Since then he’s made countless, rock-fusion, jazz and Latin recording on both acoustic and electric guitar. This is an electric and acoustic performance recorded at Leverkusen, Germany. He opens on the electric playing a few fusion tunes before switching to acoustic for a taste of Latin through all of the middle tracks. He’s back to electric for “Señor Mouse” and “Fugata”. We, as well as the crowd preferred electric!
