O’s Notes: These standards have been given a large dose of Latin flavor. After listening, we can tell you that the nine tunes have been transformed to have a high energy quotient and really swing. Ray called on a few friends to make this one sizzle. Among the stars are David Sanchez (sax) on many tunes, John Benitez (b) and Hilton Ruiz (p). Ray’s youngest son Chris (sax) also makes an appearance. We liked this CD all the way through. It just feels good.
