O’s Notes: The first track, “Always” features rich vocals from Robin McElhatten. She’s good enough to be the headliner! Robin sings on three of the eight songs and all of them all are good. But this is Mike Donahue’s set. He plays alto and tenor sax as well as trumpet. This set of standards form the first Volume of a 4-CD series.
