O’s Notes: Ken is masterful on double bass, performing solo on Subvenire. He makes his instrument speak with percussive dynamics as well as warm tone. He has performed around the world in jazz festivals and on stage. Filiano became obsessed with the bass at an early age and has since used it as the backbone of his creative genius. He uses plucking techniques as well as a bow on a spontaneous set that pushes the boundaries without offending the listener.
