O’s Notes: The organ master returns to the studio in trio format with guitarist Peter Bernstein and Bill Stewart (d). They play ten mostly new compositions written by Larry and the band. The groove is primarily funky and syncopated, characterized by the title track and on “Lookout”. There are also some cool blues like “Solid Jack”, a relaxed cover of “This Guy’s In Love With You” and the free spirit of “Gnomesville”. Nice set!
