O’s Notes: Miki is a west coast singer who was born in Japan. She is also a physician! Purnell has exacting precision in her voice and she spans a wide range with rich tones. There are two originals sprinkled among the thirteen selections notably “Sexy Sexy”. Miki invites Bob Magnusson (b), Lori Bell (fl) and Tamir Handelman (p) as special guests for Swingin’ to the Sea, her debut recording.
