O’s Notes: This is a spirited set featuring guitarist Isaac Darche leading a quintet with Chad Lefkowitz-Brown (ts), Glenn Zaleski (p), Desmond White (b) and E.J. Strickland (d). You’ll need a potholder because these guys start out sizzling on “A Winkle In Time” and the pan is hot! They simmer a bit on “Don’t Run Out of Money” before swinging on “Nobody Else But Me” one of 3 covers married with five Darche originals in a strong straight-ahead set.
