O’s Notes: Ramana has maintained a childhood thirst for the arts and celebrates it here with a dozen vocal tracks. The program is all done in traditional Portuguese root music – ‘fado’ style. Vieira combines her own compositions with traditional fado standards. The work is inspired by the tragic love story between Don Pedro, the King of Portugal (1337) and Ins De Castro. Ramana captures all of the emotions singing in Portuguese. It is a dramatic performance.
