O’s Notes: When we received the latest release featuring the Clayton Brothers we eagerly inserted into our CD player. We were surprised to hear Wycliffe Gordon (tb) on the opener and opened the liner notes to find that he would appear on several tracks! Stephon Harris (vibes) is another guest who joins the polished team. Jeff Clayton plays sax with John Clayton (b), Terell Stafford (t), Gerald Clayton (p) and Obed Calvaire (d). They swing on the upbeat track and mollify us on the ballads meeting our expectations of yet another fine recording.
