O’s Notes: The late jazz pianist Jaki Byard delivers yet another dazzling, dynamic performance, tickling the ivory gracefully, with fierce emotion and always in total command. This is the third volume of live sessions recorded at San Francisco’s Keystone Korner. Byard performs solo but always presenting a full spectrum of music. He is playful, humorous, daring and warm in his delivery. It is delightful, and engaging in many ways, certainly worth repeated listening.
