O’s Notes: Trumpeter and composer Shane Endsley steps out of the shadows to present his second album as a leader. The Music Band is armed with some strong talent: drummer Ted Poor, Craig Taborn (p) and bassists Matt Brewer. They open swinging hard on “Big” alerting us that they came to play. “House” is a showcase for Taborn and he doesn’t disappoint us. Shane inserts a couple of ballads and warms them up with rich melodies balancing a good set.
