O’s Notes: Pianist Cyrus Chestnut expands his trio with bassist Buster Williams and drummer Lenny White to a quartet adding vibraphonist Steve Nelson. The result is a pleasant sound with Chestnut and Nelson splitting the melodies giving listeners different takes. The dynamic range is expansive creating an intimate mood on““”Cristina”. Also of note are “Easy Living” and “Nardis”.“There’s A Sweet Sweet Spirit“on this set indeed!
