O’s Notes: Grupo Cha Cha is a diversified band that blends Afro-Cuban, Brazilian and American jazz into a modern art form. The calypso beats of “Peruchin” set the stage for a fine set of Latin jazz. Nythia Martinez, Diana Mosquera and trumpeter Victor Garcia add vocals into a good portion of the selections adding additional color to an already vibrant pallet.
