O’s Notes: Chris is back with a collection of fourteen popular standards. Her arrangements are different but not so far off to be unrecognizable. Most of the tunes – “Nature Boy”, “Blackbird” and “I Only Have Eyes For You” – are softened to appeal to a mainstream audience vs. jazz. We liked the Caribbean groove on “Love For Sale” best in a sea of pop.
