O’s Notes: Hiromi gives us a dose of eastern jazz-fusion leading the charge with an array of electronic keyboards and piano. Tony Grey (b), Martin Valihora (d) and David Fiuczynski (g) are the rest of the band. They play with a wealth of electric enhancements but don’t overwhelm us with distortion. “Time Out” has well coordinated melodies with funky beats and a fresh fusion feel that establishes the feel for the set. “Time Travel” features Fiuczynski in a rock-fusion thriller. They slow down on “Deep into the Night” with all except the drummer sharing the melody. We liked the vamp feel on “Time and Space” best of the time oriented program.
