O’s Notes: Blues singer/guitarist Rich DelGrosso teams up with vocalist/guitarist Jonn Del Toro Richardson to bring us a sweet dose of honky-tonk blues. They add a solid band behind them to deliver a memorable set. Sonny Boy Terry takes the lead on harmonica for “Mandolin Man” featuring Rich on mandolin. We like the funky groove of “Shotgun Blues” with Rich and Jonn playing off of each other well. That spirit continues though the fourteen original selections. This is a powerful combination that grows on you as they swing on “The Real Deal” and tell the story on tracks like “I Wish I’d Heard”. They conclude with a classic in the making: “Baby Please”.
