O’s Notes: Giovanni Moltoni left an accounting job in 1989 to pursue his dream as a jazz guitarist. He received degrees from Berklee and New England Conservatory, performs with his quartet, composes and teaches. The band includes Greg Hopkins (t), Fernando Huergo (b) and Bob Tamagni (d). All nine tracks are originals: 2 from Hopkins, one from Huergo and the balance composed by Moltoni. The band is a solid unit with Giovanni sharing lead lines with Hopkins. The music flows regardless of tempo and earned a spot in our player for several weeks!
