O’s Notes: This is the work of Bob Belden (sax, fl) who classified Transparent Heart as depiction of his life in New York City. He teams up with Roberto Verastegui (keyboards), Matt Young (d), Jacob Smith (b) and Peter Clagett (t). These guys are all in their twenties and bring youthful energy to Belden’s view of his 29 years in the big apple. The moods vary from peaceful to crazed and a few in between. The music is contemporary fusion and mostly progressive rock. He captures a lot of the pulse that with stimulate thoughts on where we are, what we are doing and where we are headed.
