O’s Notes: Jussi Reijonen has mastered the art of playing guitar fretted or fretless and extended his prowess to include the oud, which is an eleven string Arabian lute. The music is a funky contemporary jazz-fusion with Indian flavor coming from the oud and percussive beats. Reijonen composed all of the music and arranged a unique cover of “Naima”. Eva Louhivuori adds vocalization to “Kaiku” wrapping up a fine set. Excellent dynamics and balanced pace brought us into Jussi’s music.
